If there’s a group of people that always upheld their cultural heritage, this would definitely be my African people. From their foods and ceremonies to their beliefs not forgetting our dressing. Wait did I just say dressing? ooh yes I did I feel like the cultural dressing gave rise to the African dressings the Ankara’s to be more specific. The only difference is that the stylist just gave this Ankara designs a simple facelift to let them look somehow modernized and still not lose their cultural look.

Many a times you’ll meet this couples along the streets or in events dressed in a matching attire preferably one with an African touch. The world has come to accept our ways of dressing and our fashion sense that’s why you’ll not miss a touch of African culture in two of five white’s wardrobe, who could have thought we would one day turn out to be influencers with our cultural wear.

The wide range of Africana fabrics makes it even more easier to rock them over and over again without overdoing it. The wide range of these fabrics include the khanga, Ankara, kitenge, dashiki, kitenge, kente, and gele. This fabric was in the olden days handwoven.one thing that has overtime stood out for this fabrics is that there were those colours that are produced to fit a specific group of people. What do I mean? There are the super bright colours that would go so well with the ladies, some calm colours that go well with the gentlemen, some patterns that blend in both the bright colours and the calm ones to bring out the couple shade for the couples.

Couples have in the recent days stood out with this Ankara designs to weddings ,church, dinner parties which is so sweet to see public display of affection that speaks itself out even without questioning its excistence.some of the designs include a shirt for the man and a matching dress for the lady, a kimono for the lady and a shirt for the man, and the most uncommon one is both of wearing a full African attire ,which if not carefully looked it you may seem to overdo the look remember you’d not want to look like you are also being too much.

Remember to rock the African attire lets uphold our African culture in a modernized way, I still feel the African look is super beautiful and out of this world. WE ARE AFRICAN, AFRICAN IS WE, AFRICAN IS BEAUTIFUL.
