Ben C is a Kenyan gospel recording artist. He recently launched his album at Salvation Army Church in OTC, Nairobi on 21st July 2019. Though hyped, the event did not attract a huge audience as expected.

The event featured a few artists including: MC Hearts, DJ Billy, and DJ Colliter all from First Class Entertainment meaning that were it not for First Class Entertainment, the event would have been a flop. Big names in the gospel industry like: Mojji Shortbaba, DJ Mo, Size 8 ‘Reborn’ or even Bahati did not turn up to support their own leaving question marks on how supportive these gospel artists are to each other.

The album launch did not also attract a huge audience as expected as the upstairs was nearly empty and the downstairs was barely half full. The lighting in the event venue was also poorly done as our photographers had a really difficult time covering the event.

However, all was not wrong at the album launch as the star of the day, Ben C put on a really good show. With a few artists under him, He promised to nurture them to nationally level and actually gave his word in doing a collabo with one of them.

Performances from MC Hearts and DJ Billy also fired up the crowd but were left yearning for more. Speaking to some of the people who attended the event, one thing stood out. LAX Entertainment who were the official sponsors of the Ben C Album Launch did not deliver to the expectations of many.

“I think LAX entertainment would have invited some high rating artists to brace the event. They should have also tried to get some good lighting for the stage. The sound was not also what I personally expected. For me, I’d give this event a three stars rating.”

A fan replied.

All in all, Ben C still remains a gospel favorite for many and we all wish him all the best in this endeavor.
